Happy Independence Day

So, it’s Independence Day or the ‘I-Day’, as referred by many publications, today.

Today when I was reading the newspaper suddenly this thing strikes , that, has the meaning of this day changed to us….?

Is it now merely means ‘Big Independence Sale on all Garments’ from almost all Companies….

Or it means Cheap Grocery, Electronic goods, Home items offered by Big MNC Retail Giants …irony isn’t it?

Or for that matter Chief ministers of various states rolling out huge advertisements wishing all us ‘INDIANS’ I-Day in one line and rest of the page full with achievements and developments made by them….!

But then I think, the meaning of this day might have shifted to

Youngsters partying out, people from different communities asking for their rights and so on….

But the core essence remains the same ….

Jai Hind to all my fellow karnaliets …to all INDIANS all over the globe…!!!
