The Kunjpura road, right from Sabzi Mandi chowk till Hospital chowk, attracts a large crowd due to
Huge stores mainly Garment stores,
Banks like HDFC, Bank of
Kunjpura Mandir, Mahabirdal Mandir,
Head Post Office,
And
It as also is the main road for commuters, going to Dyal singh colony, Subzi mandi, Nehru palace and Karan Gate etc.
On a busy day sometimes it takes more then 20 min to cross this 500mt Road…!!!
The main reason for this traffic jam is unavailability of parking space on virtually every store, all of these stores are raised in the residential houses most of them without any CLU (change of Land Use).
It is difficult to predict the future of these huge stores if the situation is not taken into control at this stage. The parking area at the back of Mahabirdal hospital should be developed and there is a need of revolutionary methods like Underground parking.
The picture shows unauthorized parking in front of HDFC Bank, Karnal.
