New ‘Mantra’ for Karnal

After a ten days dry run , Radio Mantra, 91.9FM, the radio venture from the Jagran Group, publishers of the Hindi daily, ‘Dainik Jagran’, was launched in Karnal on April 5 . Now the city has its own Radio station..!!

New Temple for Sector 13

The people of sector 13 have a new place to ‘worship in’. After a long wait finally the temple was opened for the public. Although many people ,like me , miss the old temple but change is the law of nature. The new temple is beautifully designed considering all the basic temple architecture and ‘Hindu Mandir Vastushastra’.

Holi in Karnal City

Like every year the festival of colors, Holi is celebrated with great zeal by the people of karnal city. Its one festival of the year when many the NRKs (Non residential karnalieets!) visit their home place. This year also the streets , were crowded with all sorts of vehicles like cars jeeps motorbikes scooters and of course our good old tractors! Bikes and scooters were roaming without silencers (an old trend for the festival, in the city).
This truly is a great festival celebrated by people from all regions…

New Traffic Signal for Karnal

Recently Karnal saw the installation of its first set of Traffic Lights. For the start lights have been installed at sec. 13-14 crossing near Tagore Hospital & near sec. 12 petrol pumps. As the traffic is inflating day by day it seems that more traffic arrangements will be needed for the smooth pace of the city. I wonder one can expect the story of movie ‘Traffic Signal’ repeating in Karnal.!!
