Even as the first phase of campaigning came to an end more than a week back,the Congress is yet to announce its candidates for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. Three Brahmin leaders, sitting MP Dr Arvind Sharma, Venod Sharma and Kuldeep Sharma, are in the race for Karnal, where the BJP has fielded former Union minister I D Swami.
