In view of annual growth of over 10 per cent in power load in Karnal district, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) have jointly prepared a plan to strengthen the transmission and distribution system in the district.
A spokesman said here today that a new 220-KV sub-station will be set up at Bastara village and two new substations would be constructed at Sita Mai and Nadana villages.

And talking of the present sitution of Power Cuts, now it's only limited to 1 hr. per day previously the power cut was for about 10-12 hrs per day....!!!
