The impact of World wide economy recession was also felt, during the festive season, here in Karnal City.According to one of the ‘White goods seller’ the sale during this season saw a decrease of 15 % as compared to last year. The gift shop sellers also felt that ‘less expensive gifts’ were more in demand.
The only section which was least affected was that of officials of different government departments as their premises were a definite crowd
pullers…!!!The traffic situation during the festive weekend was badly affected, the authorities seemed to least bothered about long traffic jams in different part of city including Clock tower Chowk, Kunjpura road, and Link road to sector 13.
Despite of all the odds, the festive spirit of all the sweet citizens of the Karnal city were on a high…!!!
